      "New York Times" best-selling author and self-confessed "barn goddess" Miller continues her saga of the Creed brothers with Connor's story. The romance between Connor, a solid, hard-working rancher, and Tricia McCall starts very slowly, with more attention paid to self-reflection and to secondary characters and descriptions of their activities than to the couple's romance. Then, however, they zoom right to commitment! The main characters are likable, but the story would have been improved by more of Connor and Tricia's interactions and fewer distractions such as detailed cat and dog behavior. Stage/screen actor and radio announcer Jack Garrett's warm voice gives the dialog and story an interesting spark.
