Gr 3-6-After an initially rough start, classroom rat Malcolm has found his place at McKenna School. He is now a valued member of the Midnight Academy and is enjoying life. However, circumstances outside of his control may change everything. The school is falling down around their ears. There is talk of closing it. Malcolm must venture outside in search of a solution, but this choice is not without peril. It turns out that history may be the key to everything. There's a mystery to solve, a code to unravel, human friends to recruit, and an old enemy to face again. Charlotte Parry cozily narrates, creating unique voices for the different characters. VERDICT This is a nicely paced production that will please fans of the series.
